There are many diving centres in Dahab and I chose Nesima as it had a good reputation and I saw on their website everyone who hadn’t done a dive for six months had to do a check-out dive.
A very good thing with Nesima is that they never dive in big groups, five divers are the maximum. And the equipment is good and the staff nice. The diving centre is situated in Nesima Resort, and as a diver you can use their pool for free. If you are coming back for lunch they have a nice club sandwich (a club sandwich and a fresh orange juice was 32 pounds). Ten dives at Nesima cost 210 Euro. The diving in Dahab is made from the shore.
There are some very good dive sites around Dahab. The Blue Hole is amazing. I started the dive north of the Blue Hole, descending through a shaft with three walls and on the forth side the open blue sea full of small fishes. The coral wall we swam along towards the Blue Hole was beautiful and rich of life, there were even small wrasses going into the ears. In the end we swam over the Blue Hole.
Other good dive sites are the Canyon, Islands, and Golden Blocks etc.
Lighthouse can be a very crowded dive site, both during the day and at night dives.

I stayed in Penguin Camp which has a dive club attached. The operators and Dive masters are very friendly. All divers who did not dive for 6 months has to go through a check out dive to ensure the safety. They also care the well-being of divers and disallowed me to go diving on the day when I planned to hike Mt Sinai after that mid-night.
I had two dives in Hurghada and two dives in Dabah, namely The islands and the Rick's Reef. Due to my time constraint, I was unable to dive in the famous sites - The Blue Hole and The Canyon. You can see more pics for the price list of the dives from Penguin dive center. They actually charged me EUR 18 per dive inclusive of equipment. I think it is a very good value. Again, it is unfortunate that I didnt have more time in Dabah to do more dives.

Every dive site has description of the topograph and landscape under the water. You wont be surprised. There are so many dive clubs in Dabah. I went to Penguin Dive Club. But you may have your choice according to your budget and preference.

Horse riding is another sport you can do in Dahab. If you are interested you just ask one of the men riding horses up and down the beach. You can go just on a short ride but also arrange for a longer trip.

Not everyone comes to Dahab for the good diving, but some come for windsurfing. As there is often a wind in Dahab it is also a good place for windsurfing. Close to the Lighthouse in Masbat you can rent equipment and often there are a few windsurfers there. But another place which is good (better) and which is visited by many windsurfers is the bay south of Dahab, just by the hotels Swiss Inn and Hilton. The better you are the further out of the protected bay you can get.

No idea of the name of the hotel, but this is egarded as one of the best places to learn or to improve your diving skills - and the location is one of the best places in the world.
Equipment: With the exception of prescription masks for short-sightedness, every item of equipment is provided
