If you enter via ferry from Aqaba they will pull your passport when you board the ferry and you will have to pick it up once you arrive at the Custom's office. When I was there the ferry was a bit late the office was closed for dinner so we ended up waiting a bit. Being without a passport in a foreign land can be an interesting feeling for some. Not a big deal..just wait and the office will open so you can purchase your two stamps and get your passport punched

Backgammon Summit :-)

Nothings bits that one ! :-))
Middle East area is known as the original area for this game... you'll see it everywhere.
Personaly i like playing this game though in Egypt you'll always see only Men playing it.

Egypt is a muslem country, when going inside egypt cover your body and don't wear too short clothes. In the beaches don't go topless or naked or you'll find your self in troubles ! respect their culture as much as you would like to be respected in your own homeland.

Fires lit to drive off the locusts

Although Taba, just 60 km north of Nuweiba, was attacked by locusts on the 19th November 2004, Nuweiba itself escaped fortunately.

There have been since then a few small groups of locusts coming and going - probably lost from the main flock - but these have been driven off by the bonfires of burning tyres that are lit as soon as a locust is spotted.
