    ~ Italian Restaurant ~

As you walk through the promenade along the beach all the hotels have menu's outside so you can eat at any of them as alot of hotel restaurants in Sharm are all welcome to the public.

Our first night in Sharm we went to the Italian at the Movenpick Resort and Casino Hotel.
The restaurant overlooks the pool and the centre of Naama Bay and has a nice warm atmosphere.
The menu is varied with lots to choose from, Steaks, Pasta, Salad, Pizza, Spaghetti and a big selection of desserts and all at a good price.

The restaurant was very clean and the tables were set really nice with candles which was really cosy and quite romantic. If you want an excellent clean restaurant with good standards of food then do come here, you wont be dissapointed.

It is open from 7.00pm to 1.00am every night of the week.

Favorite Dish: We had Pizza and spaghetti bolognese, then ice cream for dessert. We also had some beers with our meal. The meal was good value for money and not as expensive as we thought it would be for hotel food.

  • Dananeer: Quite expensive compared to others

We ate here on our first evening after reading a recommendation on this site. The restaurant was just about to close. It was 10pm, early for Naama Bay, so we chose simple steaks with garlic butter. The food was lovely but the bill was quite high. We ate the same food for less in other places. We also asked for veg instead of chips and were charged for them, where other places gladly swapped with no fuss and at no extra charge.

Favorite Dish: Steak with garlic butter. Tender and delicious. Cooked to perfection.

Little Buddha: Little Buddha, more like HUGE

    The not so little Buddha

Wow, i was impressed when arriving into this restaurant. It's absolutely beautiful. The size is impressive too, not what you expect from the outside. We were escorted downstairs, where the huge buddha lives...I don't know why the call it little? Hehe. The layout and atmosphere in the restaurant was brilliant as we were shown to our seats. I couldn't fault the service at all.

We were then given a menu to choose from, a really nice choice. I was daring and decided to have a starter aswell as a main. I had a ceasar salad, which were delicious. I had to stop myself from eating it as i know i wouldn't eat my main. For my main i had orange chicken, which came on a plate, with lots of it. I couldn't even eat a quatre and i was full. It was absolutely beautiful though.

I wouldn't say the meal was cheap, it was approximately 38 british pounds for two starters, two mains, a coke and beer. It was well worth the money.

I will definately be returning again.

Favorite Dish: They had a lot to choose from, but i would say the ceasar salad...you get a lot for a starter, so i think you'd have to be really hungry to eat a starter and a main.

  • Pomodoro (Camel Hotel); On Deck Restaurant (Lido): A few decent restaurants

by TheShadforths Updated Oct 29, 2006

    4.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

We found few decent restaurants in Sharm El Sheik (Naama Bay). Two jewels, however, were Pomodoro (Camel Hotel) and the On Deck Restaurant (Lido Iberohotel). Both offered a wide selection of freshly cooked, good quality, good value meals.

Pomodoro offers a high street location, great for people watching. The staff are pleasant and the food excellent. Those with families will really appreciate the combination of European and International cuisine at extremely competitive prices.

The On Deck Restaurant is tucked away from the main Naama Bay strip as part of the Lido Iberohotel. The On Deck Restaurant is just that, an extensive deck that stretches into the illuminated crystal clear waters of the Red Sea. As you dine fish swim just a metre below you. The waiters are as attentive as the location spectacular, and provides a haven of peace away from the sights and sounds of the rest of Naama Bay. The food is slightly more expensive, but well worth the extra. A chillout bar complements the restaurant, providing excellent cocktails or simply a decent cup of tea.

  • Little Buddha: VERY AVERAGE

    by mimi2006 Updated Sep 28, 2006

If you know and love Sushi then you will be very disappointed with this place and food is quite expensive for what you get in terms of quality and quantity!! But then perhaps i am being abit harsh since I am half Japanese?? The interior is very interesting and if you go here just for drinks then i am certainit would be a fabulous place to chill out. Oh, and DONT order sake here...the brand they sell is the equivalent to a cooking wine!!!

    No idea?: Good local food

    Locals restaurant

This is a locals fast food/traditional restaurant that mainly caters for the workers in the old town/market area.It is so cheap they are practically giving it away.It is mainly take away but there is a large seated area aswell. It serves all the usual Egyptian staples in a kind of deli/school kitchen environment and its all very tasty.I do not know what this place is called as the sign is in arabic and the people who run it do not speak much english.

Favorite Dish: My favourite has to be what they call a Falafel sandwich. If you ask for pitta they do not know what you want but if you ask for a falafel sandwich you will get falafel in a bread pocket that is pretty close to a pitta and comes with salad and some cucumber dip stuff. It is all cooked, fresh on site and tastes fantastic.A falafel sandwich costs just 75 piasters(yep,7 and a half pence)

Can't remember the name of the restaurant, however it is easy to locate.
When in Naama Bay it is on the first floor of the shopping mall, at the start of the main street close where the hotel buses drop you off.
Fast efficient service, tasty food. Yum yum.

At the rooftop, pic taken from website

At the top of the Camel Hotel you will not only find a great bar and some great late night food, but also a fantastic view. If you're dying for a good burger and are not too fond of McDonald's get one over here. Thick piece of beef with veggies, cheese and the lot... Good sh!t indeed.

Favorite Dish: Definitely try the burger and order a Sakkara beer on the side. The best combo you can get over here!

Tandoori Indian Restaurant: Award winning Indian restaurant

Inside the kitchen: pic taken from website

In the patio of the Camel Hotel you will find another excellent restaurant. This is an award winning restaurant and a favourite with the locals and guests. The service again is superb and so is the food. They have many different types of rice and the currys are fantastic.

Favorite Dish: Had a meal with two Portuguese I met while diving. We shared a few currys. Tandoori chicken, Rogan Josh and some other dish. We had white rice with coconut, and fried rice with raisins and nuts. All delicious and served in large portions. On the side we also had poppadums, some garlic naan bread and some other small snacks I forgot the name of. If you like Indian food this restaurant is a must when you're in Sharm!

Pomodoro resaurant, pic taken from website

This is one of the restaurants inside the Camel Hotel. They have a terrace outside, or if you prefer some airco while eating you can go inside. Service is excellent and the menu is good, with good prices.

Favorite Dish: For drinks try the smoothies. They are excellent and a way of getting those vitamins. I had dinner here two nights. One night I had a very tasty pizza and another night the salmon. Normally this comes served with mashed potato. Since I'm not to fond of this I requested some other type of potatoes instead and that was no problem at all. The food served is of high quality and staff are very attentive. Before your dish is served you get some fresh bread on your table. Really nice too.

    Bianco - Sharm

This is a clean, ultra modern, quite sophisticated Italian restaurant above the Yassein Jewellery shop opposite The Camel Bar in Naama Bay. The food is excellent and there are a selection of moroccan dishes available on the menu to compliment the Italian.

Lounge on huge white leather sofas surrounding a huge wooden table and watch the world go by from the glassless arches.

Good wine list and cool music from early nineties pop to current charts. When we went we were almost the only diners. I think people are put off because it looks very expensive but is actually quite reasonably priced.
