This is the view looking over sharkes Bay, we got a taxi to take us there and back for approx £8.00 the journey was probobly 30-40mins each way.

There are a few restaurants on the beach front and of course the coral reef which John tells me was very good. I was more intrested in the camels on the beach, there was a mother with her 6 month old baby camel. They where offering rides on the beach for approx £2.00.

Fabulous beach and very safe snorkelling. Snorkel from the jetty if you prefer but it's equally safe to snorkel from the beach.

A friendly beach and a great restaurant if you walk a little further down (Umbi Seafood restaurant).

Charges for this beach are LE15 per person with an extra LE5 each (50p) for sunbeds.

Sharks Bay one of the unforgettable points in Sharm El Sheikh , actually it is one of the oldest explored areas in that fabulous town
In that point 10 KM away from Naama Bay city commercial and shopping centre 3 KM away from Dahab – Sharm El Sheikh and 8 KM from Sharm El Sheikh international airport – a wonderful beach where all you water sports dreams come true
Ideal place for swimming , snorkelling , training for shallow water diving in an amazing house reef with many options for water sports such as waterboarding , speedboat trips to Tiran island , we used as a family to come to that beach every Weekend to spend a quiet lovely day with swimming and riding banana boats
And in this place located the pioneer diving centre UMBI , with Sheikh Umbarak the famous name of that Bedouin sheikh working in diving since 1980

Sharks bay itself in the land is a camp and diving centre and very good seafood restaurant Sharks Bay as a diving spot is one of its kind, the bay is ideal spot for learning diving and also for amusing snorkelling with its rugged shoreline dropping down to a sandy canyon with soft corals laying in many cervices including red fish types such as coralfish and lyretail , some time you can see barracuda and eagle ray or Shark and that’s why it was called sharks bay
