In Taba you can go scuba diving or snorkeling in the Red Sea. I went in December and the water was wonderful. There are thousands of fish to see, corals and other types of plant life all under the sparkling waves of the sea. Or you can catch a ride on a glass bottomed boat if you're not into the water activities.

Next to the Hilton hotel, on the shore, is a "shack" where you can rent gear and a guide (if you want one). it cost me $5 LE to rent equipment to snorkel for three hours.

mask, fins, air "thingy" to breathe through (I can't remember what it's called, sorry)
    swimsuit.

Scuba Diving is available in Taba Heights Resort, but I personally never tried it. At £100 for just 30 minutes, it didn't seem quite worth it.

Though while I was checking out the advertised scuba diving I noticed the noisy Russians quite calmly floating in the sea just off the end of this pier. They had snorkels on and were obviously looking for fish. So the next day, snorkel in hand I headed for the same spot. Lo and behold as soon as I poped of the end of the pier I spotted some of the most colorful and beautiful fish in the world. I can't believe I was about to pay £100 for something I'd just seen for free !
