Here is a great place to snorkle and to scuba dive in the red sea and it`s awsome coral reef.
Getting into the sea can be a problem when snorkling, without standing on the coral but local staff of each resort have designated areas to get into the sea without damaging the coral these are clearly marked.

It just wouldn`t be the same going to Egypt without riding a Camel you can do this along the beach at Taba Heights at the 3 Corners beach club there are 3 Camels all together but the best one too ride is nearest to the Sofitel hotel and has the best owner who is a real funny man, who would probably let you ride for nothing, we gave him about US$8 though.

At Taba Heights Water World they offer a glass bottom boat ride, this last for about an hour and is quite well priced at 10GBP. They take you over the Coral reef and you get to see some real colourful fish including Clown fish(Nemo), we also got to see a very big and also dangerous Mooray Eel. Great fun.

Also avilable from Taba Heights, with a number of tour companies running an excursion to Cairo it`s not very close by though an eight hour coach ride each way but you have the option of staying over night and making it a two day tour which is obvouisly more exspensive as you spend a night in another hotel in Cairo, also a new tour is now avilable in which you can fly to Cairo from Taba making the travel time alot shorter.

From Taba and Taba Heights a number of tour companies run a day trip to the Holy City of Jeruselem from most hotels and resorts Priced at about 110GBP well worth the money if you`ve ever wanted to visit this great city i didn`t have the funds or the time on my last visit to Taba but would definitly go if i was too go back. P.s Meals and some drinks are included in the the price for this day trip.

From most Taba and Taba Heights Hotels and beach resorts, A day excursion to the Dead Sea is available i personally didn`t take this excursion this time as i was running out of day`s left of my one week break. Its reasonably priced with most tour companies at about 100GBP with meals included this could be your chance to float in the Dead Sea the lowest point on Earth.

Just a short drive to the Israeli boarder, an excursion over to Eilat and Dolphin Reef is a must do if you`ve ever wanted to go to Israel or swim with Dolphins, see my Eilat page for more details,tips and photos.

From all the resorts in Taba, you have the chance to go on a coach trip to Dahab about 2 hours away from Taba to do some haggling and shopping in the markets(see my Dahab page for more details).

Readily avalible from all the beach resorts in Taba and Taba Heights is a jeep safari through the desert to the Coloured Canyon, please note this is not a day trip for the less mobile as it involves lots of climbing and moving through some small places.
