diced chicken and kind of veggie and potato mixed in hot spicy tomato spices, put into ceramic bowl and heated in an oven about 270 degrees celcius. served hot with steamed rice and vermicelli.

This café/restaurant is opposite the Old Winter Palace, down the steps. We sat outside and had some lunch - the choice is mainly chicken/burgers.

Wander around the market area and pop into the real local cafes (I must admit I never saw a female in there so...) or buy cooked chicken etc from stalls.

Superb surroundings, excellent food, a nice mix of italian food without resorting to mountains of pasta. Italian as it should be.
