We did not discover this restaurant until the last 3 days of our trip which was a shame as we would have eaten there every day.
The staff are extremely helpful and polite, courteous and honest.
The general appearance is one of pride and cleanliness of the owner and gains maximum points.
We even underpaid the bill and were told not to worry about it because he knew we would b back the following day. Fantastic.
Favorite Dish: My wife proclaimed the steak sandwich to rival any she had eaten in the UK.
Myself I reccomend the Duck in Orange sauce. Instead of the breast I had the legs and they were immense. The meat was so tender and full of flavour that I rank it as one of the best I have eaten anywhere.
For desert, they specially prepared a rice pudding like dish from cornmeal, egg whites, sugar and cinnamon and it tasted great.
The menu selecton is fantastic and varied and if you have special requirements they will cater for them.

Dinner for 5 people, plus drinks 65LE (about £6 sterling)
Favorite Dish: The lamb chops are delicious and my daughter always has the pigeon. Not much vegetarian but you can adapt some of the menu.

This restaurant is owned by a Scottish couple, Billy and Carol, and they make you fell really welcome. The food is very high quality but we thought the best bit was the other customers - they all seemed to be really interesting. There were lots of fascinating conversations to eavesdrop on!
Favorite Dish: There is a good selection of Egyptian and more international cuisine. They even offer a salad cart, just like a Harvester in the UK!

The main reason you'd want to go here is for the roast dinner that is served on Sundays - you have to book in advance if you want to do this. Apart from that the food is mainly tourist cuisine - pizza's, burgers, jacket potatoes etc but the portions are enormous. There is a limited selection of Egyptian dishes

Q: Hi, Does anyone know the best (and most reputable) company that provides hot air balloon rides in Luxor at a reasonable price?...

A: $100 sounds reasonable to me, compared to other prices I've seen. I think I spent at least that much on a balloon ride in Tunesia several years ago. Personally, I'd be...
