Favorite thing: As is the common practice in small motels/hostels in Egypt, this place seems to place breakfast as a higher priority than toilet paper. Which is just as well, considering you can buy your own toilet paper for cheaper. Small convenience stores across the road has the answer to your bathroom needs. :P

A: yes Sohag is a safe place . . . unfortunately, I don't know any 5 star hotels there such as; Hilton, Sheraton or so . .. but you can search wish you all the best
