There are plenty hotels and restaurants in Hurghada as it is a major tourist place.
Hurghada has an excellent selection of Egyptian, Middle Eastern and international restaurants.
Although the native fare is very simple and mainly consists of bread, beans and vegetables, restaurants offer a much wider range of dishes.
Egyptian cuisine is a mixture of Turkish and Arabic influences.
Specialities include soups and 'mezze' appetisers such as stuffed vine leaves, stewed fava beans and sesame seed paste dips. Main course favourites are grilled chicken, lamb shish kebab and stuffed pigeon.

The Felfela Restaurants are a chain in Egypt so one will find these in a number of different tourist locations, including Cairo. The one in Hurghada, like many of the others, has excellent facilities, with a water fall in the entrance. Great view over the ocean and Giftun Island. Traditional Egyptian food to low prices.

I like this place cause it has many egyptian dishes that i miss when i travel but when i am there i feel a bit home. You will also find some international dishes such as pasta and steaks.

you simply can't believe the aquarium near entrance, just because there is not any equipment within it, except water. Really excellent. Ask for Hamdy. He is the cooker. One of the best. He was my "friend of the day" every dinner.
"Eating hours" are from 6.30PM to 2.00AM in two restaurants, Yacht ad Marina Bar, Dolphin Bar...
You always have 20 different kinds of salad, cookies, meat... For every lunch and dinner there was a soup. Seven days, fourteen meals and never same soup. Leave a Comment Theme: Local

With some friends and a local person we tried the Resturant El Mina that had been described as a good place to eat to. At first glance it did not seem too clean but we wanted to try what had been descibeb as a good place toeat seafood. We ordered octopussy that revealed to be a disgusting mixture of onion and garlic and where the octopussy was left in traces. As main meal we ordered a lobster that was offered for abot 30 euro per kg which we found not too cheap, anyway... The waiter took on the table 5 astacus, the astacus looks like the lobster, but despite being very fine is more little. To out disappointement we said that unfortunately we could not accept them as discarding the head and the tail was remain to eat was very little and moreover they were cold. The waiter at this point touched the food with the fingers telling that they were cold but he could make them hot again!!! Finally we refused to eat what he touched and not to put our friend in trouble we paid a very expensive bill to our complete disappointement (about 50 euro) and left the Resturant

You can get supermarket food at local prices (without being overcahaged by the cunning and greedy Egyptians). All prices are scanned by bar code at the cashier, soprices are right and fair. A must visit in Egyptians. A can of coke is 1.75EGP, A bottle of 1.5 Litre water 1.75 EGP. In Hurghada, I located a local restaurant with reasonable price. The usual soup, salad, main course and drink dinner cost about 20 EGP per person. (May 2006). The quality of food was good. Note service tax 12%. Look at the menu pic and see if you find it reasonable.
