    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

There is time table for various beach activities every day in Melia Pharaoh hotel. One can choose among belly dance, aquabic, aerobic, football, beach volleyball, darts, yoga. Everything is fun, especially the animators :)

Riding camels in the bedouine village

There is an opportunity for tourists to ride camels at the bedouine village. I have never riden a horse but I think it's much easier than riding a camel. Even when moved very slowly I had to have a strong grip in order to stay in the saddle. And when I had to get off, I would have fallen if one of the bedouines hadn't stood beside and helped me. Not pleasant at all, getting off a camel!

    Kiteboarding

by rossantony Written May 25, 2011

Kiteboarding is simply letting a kite pull you along on a board. The kites are big, between 7 - 14m and are attached to you by lines, and a harness. You kite, on a board. It's like surfing, or wakeboarding, but the power comes from the kite. It's an amazing sport, probably one of the fastest growing sports in the world. Once you get good you can jump 30ft in the air, and go in any direction. You don't need to be strong as the harness takes most of the power. Check it out by looking at videos on the web! Learning kiteboarding takes about a week, and once you can do it, it's probably one of the most satisfying things you will do in your life.

Equipment: Some people bring their own equipment. But if you choose a good school or company they will provide you with equipment. Always ask what equipment they provide and what year it is then check it out on the web to see how it stands up..

you will use a kite, lines, harness, bar, board.

Bring a wetsuit, and booties. Suncreen Factor 50. Confidence.
