The main activity in Hurghada is to lie on a sunlounge all day but for those who want some activity there are snorkelling trips, dive trips and a mini-submarine - information regarding these should be available in most hotels and courtesy buses will pick you up

Address: Hurghada
There is really not much to see apart from few Mosques. I also liked the gardens of Hotel Grand, the first luxurious hotel in the area.
The town itself is something I’ve have never seen before. It is new but already old. Saying that, I meant that the facades of the new houses are already worn out. I don’t know weather it has something to do with the poor building quality or the fact that it is completely surrounded by the desert. However, it looks much nicer in the night as those things were hidden by the dark.

This is the only place you can see a traffic light! Not working, true... Still it exists!
I wouldn't recomand exploring it by yourself. Our recepcionist, Besim, was kind enough to take Natasha and me there one evening.
This street is in the upper centre of Hurghada. I know I'm not being a good VT guide, but I really can't tell you the name of this street. I've been told it's the longest "shopping street" in the town. It was past midnight when we got there and almost all the shops were closed. I wanted so badly to by "carcadey", so Besim found a young man who helped us. How? He started calling upon some names. In a few moments we could see the lights turning on in more and more stores. In a few moments, there was more shops woking that being closed :-) In the middle of the night! Can you believe it?! How many of us can say it's the same thing where we live? Not me, that's for sure...

Police are everywhere :-) Sometimes i had feeling that half of egyptians are policemen or militariys :-)
But, of course, tourist police - it means help for tourists. I'm not sure how they are helping, but hope, they will help, if you ask for help :-)

Hurghada was founded in the early 20th century. Before one the foremost tourist resorts of the Red Sea coast there was a small fishing village.
But, i must say, that Hurghada still is a city under development.
