    Not far from the place where the famous ancient lighthouse of Faros was situated, there is another little one. It is very nice to walk around.

    Being Egyptin, I cannot go to Alex, without having a traditional aleaxandrian fish meal

    The sun set in Alexandria is a memorable seeing. To view it you need to be in the right spot. In my openion the right spot is Montazah palace. It is open for public with a certain fee. Go there with you camera, you wont regret it

    Have a romantic walk along the beach, but don't forget to visit the well-known site of this beautiful city. Some tips : the Roman theatre, the ruins near the Roman theathre, the al-haramlek palace and lots of other interesting place you can see on 'Must See Activities'. Enjoy your stay !!

  • my fondest memory would be walking on the 'KORNISH' after midnight..the mixture between the lights and the weather in alexndria after midnight gives the city especial taste

    Montazah Palace Beach I have detailed much of this above, but...go to the Alexandria Museum, to get away from the frenetic modern activity and noise from mosques and enter a Greco-Roman world of serenity, beauty and civilization. And stroll along the Corniche a bit: The sea is lovely at Alexandria The sea at Miami, one of the neighbourhoods which stretch thinly eastward from central Alex

    The many-coloured sea, bashing on the rocks beyond the white concrete and mostly crumbling infrastructure. Alexandria could be one of the world's prize locations.

    Visit the main Alexandria Museum. Even though it pales by comparison with somewhere like the British Museum, you can feel a classical Greco-Roman peace and culture which--in all candour-- seems far superior in all respects to the frenetic and Islamic world in the crowded Alexandrian streets outside the doors.

    The beautiful sweep of the Corniche and the Eastern (non-working) harbour; the blue-green sea eastward from the centre of the city and harbour, smashing on the rocks beyond the crumbling white concrete infrastructure. Romantic--what a city Alexandria COULD be...

    visit the site of the former Pharos lighthouse (one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world). Although it's quite less spectacular than the other attractions in Egypt, it's probably the best thing to see in Alexadria.
