Although the mosque is new, 1943, it was built on the site of an older structure. It is one of the most beautiful mosques in Alexandria.. It is build of artificial stone.
Nearby is a second mosque of Sidi Busiri.
Alongside is a fairground park for children.

Alexandria is the primary port of Egypt. There is a place in Alex wherein small boats have to docked at the seashore. Very colourful.

Most of the small boats are used for fishing and I learned that some are used in transporting passengers on short distances.

I am posting some photos of small boats which in a way made the shoreline part of the beautiful Alexandria.

Although I did not find the buildings on the coast very appealling, I loved the colorful boats along the shore...i think they gave some extra life and vitality to the look of the coast.
