    The new library of Alexandria is something to see. There is a wall infront of the library where is carved pictograms, hieroglyphs, letters from every known alphabet. There is also a museum inside the library and much more. The entrance fee in 2005 was 10 L.E. (Egyptian pound)

    We took a van to the library and took pictures infront of it. We weren't into seeing what was inside, so I can't comment on wether it was good or not. Outside was pretty impressive, with the statue of Alexander the great (his head) and some other things worth seeing. The view from the library was amazing, esspecially when it's your first time to see the mediterranean. From the library, you can walk along the bay, absorbing the view of the sea, the water front city while headed towards the citadel.

  • you must go to the alexandrine library! it's so different from the outside, you found inside a quiet and relaxing atmosphere that is exactly what you were lokking for after the total chaos of the city
