What to buy: Now, isn't this a beauty? There are really lots of souvenirs which you will never find elsewhere in the world here. Most people will buy something home anyhow. Come to think of it, how many travelers will return to this country after the 1st time? With that thought in mind, you can imagine the willingness to pick up something to bring home, even if just to capture & prolong the sense of having been here :-)
As with all tourist attractions, there are shops around the Pyramids. Some interesting souvenirs were found in the shop. I bought a silver cartouche here. It's one that I treasure even till today. You can get the shop to engrave your name in Egyptian (well, that's what they claimed though I'll never know ;-)).
What to buy: Cartouche.
What to pay: US$8-US$20.
Plenty of items to be had at the observation point, may not be the cheapest but it is convenient. Always haggle, it is expected.
What to buy: Any imaginable souvenir
What to buy: Images made with different kind of materials. I don't really know what this is called though I had thought it was really an interesting piece then.
