When in Cairo and you'd like to get a bottle of wine to take back to your room, Drinkies is the place to get it. They are Coptic owned liquor store, so it is strictly takeout. Friendly service, as you'll find in most any place in Cairo, and there is always someone who speaks fluent English.
Dress Code: Takeout only service.

If it haven`t been for my Egyptian friend I would never have knew this place by myself,as nothing tells you that it even exists.
The restuarant is inside a Building on the 1st floor,After climbing the stairs around the elevator cage, a large stone relief welcomes you..
Dress Code: The place has two restaurants one offers a Bar the other one is designed in a Japanese style decor.
You can be dressed formally or casually,But as for me I always try to be dressy as this place is one of the Elite places in Cairo,Zamalik.
I would recommend reservations*

There is so much to do in Cairo especially at night. There is good reason why they call it the city that never sleeps. Cairo offers a vast variety of bars, clubs and lounges
If you are into this life at night, you may be spending your time in the bars of your hotel or better still shop for hotels which offers dinner shows. A variety of entertaining themes and live music are offered in most 5-star hotels.
Go to Sangria, a well-known hangout on the corniche. It offers a variety of drinks, cuisines and sheesha. They also have an outdoor terrace and indoor diner. Sangria opens at 1:00PM and closes at 3:00AM.
I am giving you a list of the hot night spot in Cairo and where to find them;
Cairo Jazz Club at Mohandiseen
Le Pacha at Zamalek
Blue Nile Boat in the heart of Zamalek along the banks of the Nile
Deals with two branches - One at Heliopolis and the other one in Mohandiseen
Buddha Bari is inside the Sofitel Hotel El-Gezira

Odeon is one of the only places you can get a beer and a sheesha together! Sheesha is expensive comparitively, beer is average for a bar, there is a minimum charge but two beers covers it. Open 24 hrs, but sheesha is sometimes not available. Decent food too.
Dress Code: casual

This new bar/lounge/restaurant called 35 (after the address) is the trendiest spot in Cairo these days. The sleek interior is mostly white and is on two levels, with a large bar at the front and dinner tables in the back. 35 could easily be mistaken for a bar in New York City or London. The crowd is very festive and the place is quite the scene. Cairo's most elegant locals and expatriates frequent this place. You could make a reservation for dinner and sample the pan-Asian cuisine, or simply stop by for a late after-dinner cocktail.
Dress Code: Very trendy

This restaurant is located at the river Nile front,(Formely known as Casino El Shagrah)Shagara means tree where there is an old tree that penetrates the whole building from inside the lower floor til the balcony upstairs.
the place was renovated in 2001,to have two restaurants,
Sangria and Absoulte. Both serve the same menu, which has a big variety of pizzas,
su-shi and Arabic appitizers.
Sangria has an open area on the Nile decorated in an oriantal atmosphere,on the upper level.
Absolute,on the lower level, which is decorated in an Indian style..
Best to visit just before the sunset and watch the sun dives into the Nile!
Both restaurants serve alcohol.
Dress Code: Casual dressing is acceptable!
BUT make sure to make reservations!Best to be visited on a Wednesday night...really crowded and nice.
This picture is taken from Sangria at day time where I went there to have lunch with my kids(the restaurant allows children for lunch).

Clubbing scene is, understandably, not very active in this Islamic country. There are really 3 options for foreigners here: Africano, where you will get to experience clubbing Egyptian style (clapping substitutes conventional dancing here) or the Nile Hilton also has a decent option. Entrance fee for that is LE 50 last I checked.

When I was in Cairo my friend took me to this pub in Zamalek called Deal's. It's a very small building with big wooden door that looks a little small due to the steps going down. It doesn't look like a pub at all but once you entered you feel the familiar feeling and smell of a pub. It plays mostly european dance songs while i was there. The only down side about this pub were the stools we sat on. It was quite uncomfortable that one of my friend just ended up standing. The atmosphere is nice. Quite a lot of expats can be found and the service is very good.
Dress Code: I went there with jeans and sneakers with no problem but I suggest smart casual or any flashy top to pull the attention about from the sneakers.

it somewhere you can have a romantic time while eating or drinking something.
its recommended from me.
you can drink alcohols there too.
