It has been said that “in the keyboard of life, one should always keep a finger on the ESCAPE key”. There is no better place to escape the week’s stress and burdens like heading to the Nile Hilton and going to High Heels. The place to be caught up with old friends, enjoy some fresh beats, and sip on a drink is the hottest place to spend your weekend nights; High Heels. The Cairo Nile Hilton sits beside the River Nile, and enjoys amazing panoramic views of both the Nile and City. Upon entering the Nile Hilton from its main entrance, you will find High Heels tucked away on your right hand side. The clientele here range roughly from 24-35 years old locals and foreigners alike. High Heels is an outdoor place with a fun ambiance. It is a two-leveled area, with the bar being slightly higher than the DJ and sit down area. In the summer it is open air, and in the winter it is supposedly inside a tent. I have frequented the place several times this winter season, and it was open air. The outdoor burners, keep the area warm but nonetheless there is a chill in the air. This does not seem to hinder the places’ popularity though with it still being “very hot in the winter”. As per a senior staff member, starting the 28th of Jan a large tent will be set up and removed once more in the summertime. Work hours for this hip place starts at 10 am till 2 am. At around 9 pm, DJ Leon starts spinning his tunes. This Egyptian Armenian does an exceptional job of setting the positive and light mood of High Heels. The music is not deafening loud, but loud enough for people to start bopping up and down too. The dinner menu has some interesting items and the bar offers an extensive array for drinks. Several bartenders work fast and friendly to serve you. Everyone calls out “George” to a certain pony-tailed bar tender that works crazy fast with a smile. Overall, the staff is friendly and ensures a positive mood. So call up your buddies to unwind at Cairo’s hottest hang out scene; and press ESCAPE! It has live music and really good food from it`s international cuisine menu. Reservations are a must! It opens from 10p.m to 3 am. live at Sawy Cultural Wheel by mindcrime Rockers & metalheads were on the run some years before by the police and although there is even an egyptian black metal band, you dont have much choices for rock clubs but there are many other clubs (like those in your country) But relax its not the end of the world if you just enjoy a nice dinner in an expensive restaurant (like those in your country but cheaper!). Most of the egyptians spend their time enjoying their tea in an Ahwa(local cafe). The most famous Ahwa is Fishawl's at Khan el Khalili. In Zamalek u can find some nice modern bars. The beer here costs around 2 euro. Cairo Jazz Club (at Sharia 26th of July 197) is a nice place to hear live music (most of the times basic rock covers). Many tourists go there so you have to pay little more for drinks etc You can spend a night watching Sufi Dance. I think there is one at Citadel but I saw one at Al-Ghouriyya (free entrance) and it was a great perfomance. In case you want to taste some real interesting music experience at the end of the 26th of July St. from Abou El Feda Side(under 15th of May bridge) is The Cultural Center “Sakiat Abdel Moneim Al Sawy”. Every day there are different concerts, arabic poetry or literature presentations etc I went there two nights for the live music and it was nice although u can't drink in the venue. Theme: Concert

The best thing about the place is the people there. They are simple, happy, open minded, and coming from different communities. Different live bands perform on different days of the week. It starts peaking by 11pm till 2-3am. Oriental Jazz music.
Anything goes in the Jazz club Leave a Comment Theme: Live MusicAddress: Sphinx square, mohandeseen, CairoDirections: under the 15th of May bridge in the entrance of a residential building.

by travelife My preference with night life is simply to wander around to see the lighting and spending time in a bar. But Cairo bar or tea-cafe are sometimes too noisy that you really miss a cosy place. An alternative is to visit a hotel bar, where there are comfortable seats / sofas and calm and quite and sometimes with soft music. We have also seen performance (Egyptian singer) in some bars. This place is filled with people from all over the world- drinks are expensive, but well worth the atmosphere. When I went, there was live music- lots of people dancing and partying.
I would say no jeans or tennis shoes because you will stick out if you are not dressed up for a night on the town. Leave a Comment Theme: Dancing
