A nice place to dine if you`re visiting Egypt with your kids..it`s a family oriented restaurant.the seats next to the Nile view are non-smoking...
It also has an open area (on the outter deck)...
it`s at Nile City moored boat.
It also has a couple of virtual reality games for the kids to play with.
Favorite Dish: Chicken Parmigian, sereved with pasta.
and as a starter I`d recommand the baked mashrooms with tomatoes.
In the mood for Italian, we set out to Johnny Carino's. We went to Zamalek branch which is set on the Nile City floating boat. The view of the river Nile was the best about that place in my opinion! As an Italian food lover I was so excited about that place which advertised home style Italian Food. We started with two appetizers Baked Stuffed Mushrooms and bruschetta bread which were delicious and the portions are big for Cairo standards. My friend ordered homemade lasagna and I ordered Chicken Fettuccine I would use word like "terrible" to describe it, without ex-grating it's not edible. The Siclian Sea Breeze drink I ordered has no flavor. My friend didn't make any comment about his order. the staff were helpful but way pushy all they care about was removing the plates in front of us whether we finished eating or not ! It’s not like we are going to take the plates with us! I have never heard anything good about that place from all the people I know, everyone complain about the food. I don't think I'll go there again and back then if it was not for the view and the nice ambiance I would have been extremely angry.
It's pricey for a chain restaurant, but this is the range for decent Italian restaurant in Cairo.
Johnny Carino’s is a restaurant on the Nile City Boat, where you can sit and enjoy the summer breeze and the passing by feluccas outside. If you prefer to sit indoors, then you will enjoy the live show of cooks doing their magic in the open kitchen. Indoors, Johnny Carino’s is very cozy. There are large windowpanes that overlook the Nile so you can still enjoy the view.
