Fantastic view from the Golf Club by Heavens-Mirror The Mena House Oberoi 18 hole Golf Course is close to the Pyramids that they literally are looking over you. The golf course was built in 1902. There you are just a few minutes away from the 5 Stars Deluxe "Mena House Oberoi Hotel". The gold course here looks fantastic, it has well looked after gardens & if your into golf you will love it here. You can rent out caddies, clubs & trollies. You can also have golfing lessons for those who are not so good at it. Theme: GolfingAddress: Pyramids Road, Giza, Cairo, EgyptPhone: (02) 3833222Directions: Nexy to the pyramids

I highly recommend horseriding in Cairo, especially in the afternoon just before the sun goes down. Its great after a long hectic day to just enjoy a nice relaxing stroll into the desert & around the pyramid area. The best place to go for horseriding is to the local stable in the Sphinx area called Abou Hol. A man called Harmada owns lots of beautiful horses, racing horses aswell as dancing white horses which are gorgeous. It only costs 20 Egyptian Pounds for the ride. Really worth it.
Wear something light & cool as it does get hot in the desert area on horseback. Address: Abou Hol, Sphinx Area, CairoDirections: Facing the Ambulence front & is right near the sphinx.

Wadi Degla logo by marimar_72 This club opened in june 2003,I must say it indeed the finest club in Cairo area.I have seen the site, and it`s very interesting and promising. "We can inspire people and make them play sports" quote by the club`s Vice-President and Director of Business Development. "We want to provide our youth with professional educational and training sports facilities to ensure we have the champions for tomorrow " he continued adding.
It will provide swimming pools, squah courts, volley ball, hand ball and basket balls courts, tennis courts as well as food courts, restaurants and cafes.Cycling tracks are also avaiable and horse back riding. It`s really a huge club!!!! visit the link listed below. Leave a Comment

by Mongy If once in Cairo, never miss horse back riding around the pyramids by a full moon light or at sunset. Camel riding is better in Sinai than it is in Cairo, you can go on safari riding a camel there much better than in Cairo. The stables to rent horses is around the pyramids, better go in a group, or with an Egyptian. Avoid getting cheated the price is between 15 and 20 Egyptian pounds not more, and normally there is a guide that go with you.
No equipments are necessary, make sure that you get a horse suitable for your horse riding skills (strong horse for the good riders and the opposite goes) Leave a Comment Directions: Behind the pyramids area. Better go with an Egyptian who knows the place.Website: hiddentrails.com/africa/ egypt/egypt-pharaoh.htm

If you are into horse riding then you have more than a choice but the ones i am familiar with is the Pyramids stables. those are not the same horses you get while on the site of the pyramids to take a photo but i am talking about the real horses in the back of the pyramids. the other place is Al Gazeerah club for horse riding in Zamalek which is a training and competition club where gambling happens once a week.
You know what to get and you know that they have it all here. Leave a Comment Address: Nazlet Al Semman, Al Haram, Pyramids, GizaDirections: If you reach the sphinx then you r so close. get out of the sphinx gates and as for MG and AB stables.

by TheWanderingCamel If you are planning to live in Cairo and want to know how you will keep your gym routine, don't worry. There are many gym facilities where you can buy a membership. I don't know the prices right off but they are fairly reasonable by American standards. There are also sport clubs which are similar to American country clubs. These are usually for Egyptians only but I know that a few will allow non-citizens to buy memberships. The memberships are usually pretty steep but these clubs are so worth it. They are usually huge with many gardens, coffee shops and restaurants. The sports offered vary but it is not unusual to find beautiful swimming pools, shooting galleries, track and field sports, soccer, and even horse riding at at least one. Honestly, I was so suprised because I just didn't expect to find places that rival our best country clubs in the USA. Sorry I can't give specific details but it is something to be aware of ...ask around. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

I spent my night in my hotel going to the gym. Although the Pharaoh Egypt Hotels' Health Club is not that big, they have have considerable number of equiptment enough for any health-conscious individual to maintain their physique. Aside from all the exercising equipment, you can also book for a massage by abled-bodied local Egyptian guys. For an hour of massage you will pay approximately 150-200 Egyptian Pounds.
