View on 6th October Bridge from Cairo Tower by bzh Cairo Tower is a structure that stands on an island in the middle of the Nile and that offers a fantastic view on the city. The price to get to the top is higher for foreigners than Egyptains, about 20 Egyptain pounds, but is definitely worth it. Leave a Comment

Nice view from Cairo Tower by yedo If you really want to have a view of the city the best place to be is at the top of Cairo tower. Theres a moving restaurant where you can enjoy a good meal while looking down on the city. Leave a Comment Directions: You can walk over el tahrir bridge to the island as I did , if you can handle the crazy traffic but most people just take a taxi.Website: http://www.touregypt.net

Cairo Tower by TimMiles It is well worth climbing up the Cairo Tower in time for Sunset to admire the views over the city. The views from the Tower are in one of my Cairo travelogues. Don't bother with the rip off restaurant at the top though! Leave a Comment

Cairo Tower by bpwillet This is a great place to come and see Cairo from 360 dgrees. It doesn't take a lot to see that the city sprawls out as it does. It can also be very pleasant at night if you can't make it during the day. On most clear days you can see the Giza plateau and the Pyramids on one side and the Citadel to the other. The cafe on top is not bad and try the Lebanese restaurant to the right as you enter the complex. Their food is good and service is great. Though at "tourist" prices. Leave a Comment

Tower from the Nile in the evening by SteveAries We never got up the tower, but you can apparently - the views would be very impressive, especially as it is quite a bit taller than most buildings there. Leave a Comment
