Midan Opera is very nice square in downtown Cairo. The feature of the place is Ibrahim Pacha Statue. As the great Pasha was often seen on the horse back, the artist, Charles Henri Joseph Cordier created equestrian statue to decorate this beautiful square.

The equestrian statue of Ibrahim pacha is located in the middle of Opera Square, another busy square in downtown Cairo.

The statue was erected in the honor of the Ibrahim Pacha, who actually reigned in his own right only seventy-five days, but also held power for some time during the insanity of Mehemet, by his son Ismail.
