I think that the idea of the village is good however the execution is weak. It is a purely commercial project where you feel exploited with the guides trying to push you to spend money on food or icecream through the unnecessary breaks. Everything there is a duplicate nothing original. It is highly overpriced and overrated. Simply, not worth it.

I personally believe that the advertisement to this village is highly over-rated and unreasonably expensive. It is a commercial private investment where you feel that they are just trying to collect as much money, of you, as possible compared to what they provide.

This is the place to go if you wish to learn how Egyptian life was back in the times of the pharaohs. You first ride on a motorized raft that sails around an island and on the banks are simulated scenes with live actors who demonstrate how life was before: farmers, fishermen, craftsmen, etc. even their houses and lifestyles.

You can spend alot of time here especially if you or your child is really interested in Egyptian history. In addition to the boat ride which passes many "scenes" of the ancient Egyptians, there are museums to see after as well. One place has a full size replica of Tut's tomp (how it looked when first found). Despite the obvious propaganda, even the Islamic museum had some interesting art and other historic stuff to see inside. There was a small museum for Nassar (former president) and a few other museums also. There is also a small amusement park if you need a break from the exhibits.

The pharaonic village is designed with the objective of orienting people and trying even if 1% only to make you feel and walk like an Egyptian.

You will be guided through out the village by a boat it is a small island and walking . You will see how the ancients use to work with their instruments, cooking their food, planting their seeds.

There are also couple of contemporary museums of Egyptian presidents.

5 minutes from Giza Square, you can take a nice tour throughout the Pharonic village
see how the Pharoa's lived, with live performers re-acting life as it was 5,000 years ago.
Smaller version of temples, etc

On our last day in Cairo, we visited the Paranoiac Village – a great place to see a smaller version of the temples, the gods and the re-enactment of what life might have been like 5,000 years ago.
