The church is renown of its beautiful collection of icons.
Just take a closer look to some of the icons and you'll note a lot of interestings aspects.
I found particularly interesting the icon that you can see in my attached picture, which is presenting a martyrium, a not very common representation to see in a church.

The doors leading to the altar of the church were closed, but through a hole in the iconostas we had a look inside.
Very simple, with some icons leant on a wall made of red bricks, I found it quite unique and elegant.

As we have found in all the Coptic Christian places in Egypt, also in Mostorod there are many representation of the Holy Family journey in Egypt.
