We also saw animals swimming in the Nile,Water Buffillo and people washing in the Nile.Hard to believe that people washed in it as it is full of pollution and disaese.Guess where the cruise ships emptied their toilets,yes straight into the Nile.What ever you do,do not fall into the Nile.

This is the place where you can eat great traditional Egyptian food (it is delicious!!!) in the authentic ambient, and you can also see how the traditional bread is made in the stone furnaces. There is also a rest-resort where Egyptians come to have a rest. This is me at one of the tables.

Lunch on the Nile

After spending the day in Luxor, we were taken by boat across the Nile to this restaurant. The restaurant was located inside a beautiful hotel within Luxor. It was buffet style but very good. This lunch was also included in the price of the day excursion. Well worth the trip !!!!

This was the last Menu we ate on our ship!
The crew put up a huge buffet.
Very tasty!!!

The food on board was always very good and there was always plenty to eat. Everyone was filled up after eating and ready to take a short nap.

A little fruitjuice place in downtown Hurghada. They served delicious fresh juices. The other guests were only locals (even women!!), probably because we are all brainwashed about horrible stomach diseased. Well, of course you have to be careful, but we survived AND had a good time.

Very nice atmosphere, a lovely view, nice music and good food.

I personally liked the SHISH TAWOOK a lot, so be sure to try it.

I cannot remember too much about the restaurants where we ate, but I also do not recall suffering any problems! Due to the great heat we were forced to partake of the occasional beer at various street cafes! I liked the size of those bottle - they reminded me of those in Zaire.

. I order something they call McArabia which is a pita with Falafel, lettuce, tomatoes and sauce. Everyone’s soda is flat and we wonder if that is how they serve it here. This McDonalds has some good views of the city from the second story seats.

If you want to eat in Cairo at 2 a.m. you can visits Hassans Pizza in Fishali street.
You are asked about ingredient you want and have to wait about 10 minutes. Cost is about 5 LE ( 1 euro = 7 LE).
