Africa: A little taste of Africa
Bowls of food are brought out and everyone just helped themselves. There was lots to choose from and everything was delicious. During Ramadan there is no alcohol available though. There were dishes such as fried eggplant (which I came to love while in Egypt), potatoes and other vegetable dishes. Several meat dishes including lamb which I didn't try so I can't tell you how good it was. The restaurant is fairly open air, not quite enclosed so you feel like you're eating outside. The usual carbonated drinks were available, Sprite and Coke. I believe it was 17 Egyptian Pounds for the set meal. If you're on the east bank of the Nile, you can make reservations and they'll send their boat over to pick you up to bring you tot he west bank. The fried eggplant was done really well here, I kept going back for more of it.
