There are 2 ‘gift shops’ inside the Royal Enclosure. Pictured is the entrance to the second gift shop. This place has more art type objects and ladies accessories & handbags. It’s the more up-scale of the 2. Prices are high by Ethiopian standards, but you can haggle. They also sell jewellery of all descriptions.

There are 2 ‘gift shops’ inside the Royal Enclosure. Pictured is the entrance to the first that is more like a mini indoor market. They seemed to have a lot of basic sculptures and crafts in mass quantities. This should aid you in haggling down the price. They are a little high in price by local standards, but you should be able to get a discount and pay a lot less than at the airport. There are not many places in the area to buy souvenirs, so these 2 shops are your best option. Argue! You will be charged more at the airport and they do not bargain at all there.

A good place for making telephone calls, though not the cheapest. If you want to call cheaper, at the left of the main entrance there is a street where you will find chaep telephone places.
