This is a huge building in the north of the complex. Entrance is not allowed, as it's under restoration. Only a few rooms held an exhibition here, but nothing as impressive as the facade.
This is the main castle and the best preserved. You can enter and inside it is a peculiar mix of european and arabic styles, it reminded me somehow some of the Alhambra Palaces...
Try to visit during Timkat (or Ethiopian Epiphany, in January) where the bath will be filled and ceremonies held... attended by devotees from all over the country.
A huge complex consisting of several buildings and ruins... In the wet season, the grass is overgrown but it adds a nice green touch to the otherwise barren landscape.
