a dinner at Next Door by Alpha_Ghana Next Door is an open place on the beach. You can drink, eat, dance and play on this very large place. You have some lovely huts alongside the beach where you can go with your loved one or some friends. Tables are well separated. On the other side, you have more conventional restaurant and bar, and dancing place. Next Door organises a lot of different parties with themes. It is always a very nice and innovative place. Food is cheap but is very common.

Ryan's is an Irish pub and is the only place where you can have Guinness on draught. There are a lot of expatriates going there and money girls are forbidden. Nice European/American atmosphere, and sometimes bands come outside. The palce to be if you want to meet Managers of all big companies of Ghana.
Each Friday, from 5PM on, one company sponsorise a party and everyone can go for free drinks. In the evening, go to this local spot and try a grilled tilapia. You chose a fresh tilapia and they grill it for you before they serve it with rice and vegetables and of course ***o. You can have it in the restaurant or take away. The grill is really on the street, I really enjoy this spot, even if they always try to cheat you. (you choose a fish and you might have a smaller one after). The spot is close to a kind of hostel where all the Nigerian prostitues first live when they arrive Ghana.
Cool Leave a Comment Theme: Eating and DrinkingAddress: Osu Blue GateDirections: In Osu, turn left at papaye junction and drive to the end of the road, till you meet a T junction. It is just before on the left, and you will know by crowd or a nice smelling grilling tilapia.

Bywell is an open bar. Every Thursday, there is a band coming for high life music. From 6PM till 1AM, you can go and listen to music till 10PM when people start dancing. You can eat some barbecue food (kebab and grilled chicken). The bar is a very long one in U, perhaps the longest of Accra. Funny: when it is raining, you are stacked inside, the water is everywhere and there is only one way to the gutter: the gate.
Cool, casual. Leave a Comment Theme: ConcertAddress: OsuDirections: Osu Oxfrod street end fork, turn left, on the left after the next junction. If you go on Thursday, there are so many cars that you can not miss it.

The Savannah club, formerly Chester's is a bar with a live band coming on Wednesdays. The music is very good, mainly Ghana high live. Every Wednesday, you can listen to nice music and even dance around the band. There is a gate fee of 20,000 cedi to prevent too many girls to enter. Cool place. Inside the bar, there is a special room for gays, since owner is gay. You can only enter there if you are also.
Cool and casual. Leave a Comment Theme: Live MusicAddress: The street has no nameDirections: Close to Aquarius From Danquad circle, you go to Labadi. First junction on the right, then right again and it is the second on the left. If you go on Wednesday, you cannot miss it, cars are everywhere around the place.

The Bass Line is a small but nice lounge bar at the Ring Road Central in the North of the city. There is a small dancefloor, a small area with nice sofa's to sit down, and a good DJ that plays music like you hear it everywhere in Ghana: mostly hip-hop, R&B and dancehall. The bar is a very good one too. They serve good cocktails, lots of different beers, and all kinds of other strong drinks. And you can order small meals too like burgers and salads too. The friendly personnel serves you even on the dancefloor so you don't even have to go to the bar to order something. The prices are quite high though; a cocktail costs 30-40.000 cedis ($ 3-4,-) and for a large beer (625 ml) you have to pay 12.000 cedis. All high prices for Ghanaian standards.
There is not a really strict dresscode in the Bass Line: just a decent jeans and a t-shirt is good enough already. Leave a Comment Theme: NightclubAddress: Ring Road Central

New place, managed by a Ghanaian Funny spot: always activities, cocktail bar. The barmaids are former money girls from MAcumba. They are very sexy but look a little be used when you are close. You have billard and nice decoration You can also dance, but it happens that the place is empty and few people are there. You can still enjoy the bar. Music is good.

Accra Nightclub by atufft Several areas of town have nightclubs in Ghana. Some of these are neighborhood discoes that sell the popular Malta, a non-alcoholic beverage. A few are large open clubs with a stage and live band. The typical combo includes a full range of singers, trumphet players, guitar and bass, convention band and African drums. The saxophone is often center stage. We visited two places, one right on the coast had a series of terraces that overlook a rocky shoreline. Here, the music was a mix of reggae and west African, if I recall, but technical problems prevented the best presentation. The location overlooking the surf crashing on the rocks was interesting, but the crowd was not so enthusiastic about the band. Then, a friend drove us across town, to the west I believe, into a neighborhood where a really live highlife band was playing. This place was packed with enthusiastic non-stop dancers drinking mostly beer.
Casual. African's dress up by wearing t-shirts, so if you want to be different wear your favorite. Women should probably exercise some conservative caution due to the exotic nature of white skin here, but in general Ghana's nightclubs are remarkably civil places despite the heavy drinking among band members and dancers. Leave a Comment Theme: NightclubAddress: These places are constantly opening and closing.Directions: Check with your friends for the lastest hot spot.
