There are good watchmen and few larcenies. Anyway, be careful to your mobile phone, two of mine disappear at the beach. They just took the mobile, not my Rolex that was in the same bag!
A last word: unique in all African headcities, and moreover, the cleanest beaches you can see in West Africa are in Ghana.
There are Internet cafes at Accra Kotoka Airport. One of tem called Avid Surfur is located in the arrival hall. It is a call centre and has good speed for surfing on the web. Open 24 hours.
Football games in the streets of Accra. Located on the backside of Kaneshie Market. Costs 1 Cedis to play against the locals until to loose. I won 1 time and loosed twice.
The lighthouse on the west side of James Fort was build by the british in the second half of the 18th century. It was later replaced by the current red/white lighthouse.
Locals are offering guests at the beach a horse ride. Remember to settle the price and the time before you ride away. In general the horses in Labadi beach look underfed and skinny.
Nungua is in the suburbs of eastern Accra, just east of Teshie. It's an area with low, small houses and gravel roads.
REX Cinema is one of the cinemas in Accra. The architecture is special and the place is used for both cinema and theatre performance.

Actually, the one I visited was filthy and smelly. But I always have to visit the beach wherever I visit.
Good place to buy some crafts. My guide from the hotel was great in helping me negotiate a fair price. Wish I had someone like that everywhere that bargaining is done.
