When you go left when entering the area, you are heading for the bigger falls. After 100 metres walking between some bushes with a lot of butterflies, you have to descent some high stairs before you get to te main spectacle of the site: the falls of about 30 metres high!

They are surrounded by tall, green trees and they provide a white smoke and a great sound. These falls are spectacular to see, but even nicer to take a plunge in. There are some "dressing rooms" made of concrete at the base of the falls, but they don't look too neat. It is wiser to already wear your swimming suit when you get there. You can use the bottom of the falls as a natural waterslide or take a -very rough- shower right under it.The water is not too clear, but it feels great, so who cares...

When you enter the area around the Kintampo Falls, you can choose two directions: one to the small, and one to the bigger waterfalls. When you go right, you will end up at the small ones, after about 300 metres. To get there is not difficult: just follow the footpath, but to enjoy them to the max, it is wise to wear solid shoes.

The small falls are in a shadowy environment and are about 6 metres high. To see them directly from the front, you can climb some rocks to see how the water bangs against one strong tree that splits it in two, and you also can get behind the falls by climbing some other rocks, and see the water from a different side.
