Palava is a sauce than comes served with chicken, fish or guinea fowl. It is quite a thick sauce that is very tasty. The picture shows Palava sauce with chicken and boiled yam.

Various: Omo-Tuo

Omo-Tuo is a chicken ground-nut soup served with a sticky rice dish for ‘dipping’. It is very tasty, very rich – a little like a runny chicken satay.

Various: Gold Arrow Beer

Another local beer, Gold Arrow was not as widely available as the others, but still found here and there. It was a very pleasant lager-type beer.

I didn’t enjoy the Gulder beer as much as the Star beer, but when Star was unavailable, it was a good alternative. It is a Nigerian pale lager-type Beer brewed under license by Heineken.

Various: Kelewele

Kelewele is a side dish of spicy fried plantain. I enjoyed this dish very much, as it was not overly spicy, nor was it too greasy as was the case with other fried dishes.

Frankies: Best Ice Cream Desserts Anywhere

Frankies is a restaurant where I spent a lot of time in. It has a 50s ish feel to it even with the uniforms the waiters wear. Any of the ice cream desserts.
