  • Village at the lake-side: dancing

The drummers started to drum, so it was time for dancing. Many of the Ghanaian volunteers were also good dancers and danced together with the villagers. They tried to explain us the meaning of the dance and were very willing to teach. But some dances were rather complicated.

These women from Nkonya with their headpans had a big contribution in cleaning the yard. They love to sing (and sometimes to dance) during the work.

Most of them find this a good way to spend their summerholidays, doing good work, having a place to sleep and very important to be supplied of food. The purpose of the Ghanaian...
