Using your credit card in Ghana can be risky though. There have been numerous instances of credit card fraud in Ghana. A credit card number can be recorded and sold, even at the best facilities.
ElectricityIf you are bringing along any electrical appliances, they should operate on or be adaptable to 220 volts. Electric outlets in Ghana accept either 3pronged, or sometimes 2-pronged. British or Continental European type plus or converters.

Lately, it has become more dangerous to travel at night. If you take trotro from one big city to another, try not to travel long after dark. Some roads are very far from people and sometimes you have to drive trough the mountains. There are gangs who rob and sometimes kill when they attack public transportation at night, so take care...Within the towns and cities there are no problems...
