Guinea itself is pretty far off the beaten path, so congratulations to those of you who make it there. Though I never made it out of the capital, I understand the countryside is beautiful. I'm sure anything looks good once you get out of Conakry, though!

Get the best map of Guinea available, search out the trafficable roads in dry and rainy seasons and dont be afraid of stopping in the smallest and most unaccessible places. In south you have dense jungles, in the north you have desert-like landscapes. In Conacry it is hot, in the central parts it can be chilly, cold, windy.
