David sending the salt

It is the first - and last - time I have seen a table with a gliding "Lazy Susan" in the centre of the table for passing condiments and side dishes.

Basically, a small strip of the centre of the table was converted to glide on runners. A great idea!

Afternoon tea

In typical British style, afternoon tea is served on the rooftop terrace. A white tablecloth covers a table, and tea and biscuits are available while you gaze over the spectacle below. What more could you want?

Welcome drink

The last distance to the accommodation at Treetops is undertaken on foot, and a table with welcome drinks is set up by the roadside to aid you on the way. You are escorted by armed rangers - this is a national park with wild animals!

Treetops check in

You check in to Treetops Lodge at a specially set up reception in the grounds of Outspan Hotel. This makes it a lot easier when you arrive at the lodge.
