In the back of the Thika Falls resort, there is a craft village with about 10 stalls. Also there are a couple stalls at the entrance. Several shops within this complex have original art in the form of paintings or pencil drawings.
What to buy: Original art.
What to pay: Depends on the size and medium used. Bargain hard and you will get excellent prices.

On the north side of the main road thru Thika, the Del Monte shop offers fresh pineapple and a variety of juices.
What to buy: Grab an absolutely fresh dead-ripe pineapple for only 50 shillings. You won't believe how good it tastes!

What to pay: About 100 to 200 shillings each. Bargain hard!
