Local market places in Kenya will tell you the story of the settlement and the people there. When strolling and exploring was always amazed by the fact that even small villages could have big market places. The one at Mtwapa is really big and interesting but I suggest you to be careful if visiting it. I have noticed some bad guys around who watching attentively people moving in between the stands. They could be criminals, drug dealers or drug addicted. It is advisable not to carry with, and in particularly not to show too much of cash money in such a places.

The dive guides told us, that with our booked 10 dives we should see one whale shark ... 90 per cent guarantee. We saw 5 whale sharks in 13 dives, that was a lot more than we could ever dream of!
