    The wiews of Tsavo

    Tsavo East

Favorite thing: Game-drives ! The colors and landscape are so beautiful.
Allthough the animals are a bit more "hard to find"in Tsavo, you get a feeling of beeing almost alone with the nature in Tsavo - There are not alot of safari veichles on the roads - and that makes your Game-drives more peacefull ,and exiting.
You may very often be the first to watch the animals , and often you are alone to enjoy it .

    SAFARI BEHIND YOUR TENT?

by safardreams Written Feb 25, 2003

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: When your supposed to be resting. Your watching if your LUCKY,the wildlife in your front or back yard. These IMPALA, were passing in back of our tents. One of the females got out of line. The MALE IMPALA, just getting her back where she belongs!!!!! My driver and guide went to town. Myself and my cook had our OWN-SAFARI going on while waiting for them. Jusy grab your camera and quietly take your shots. AND ENJOY!!

Fondest memory: Really too many. But having WILD-ANIMALS
    in your yard! Thats great!!

    "KNOW WHERE YOUR GOING"

by safardreams Written Feb 25, 2003

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: Even the road markers are RED!! They are needed, the self-drivers would never be able
to find their way around the park. Even this
stuff is worth a picture. When your in the LAND-ROVER and your driving what seems like forever. You come across a marker and
see you have much more driving to do.
    TSAVO EAST is very big!!

    Fondest memory: RED-ELEPHANTS, what-else?

    Birds

by grets Written Dec 19, 2004

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: Of course, the wildlife is the main reason anyone visits a national park in East Africa, and we were no exception.

Wildlife comes in different forms, and as well as the large mammals, I enjoy seeing the birds. I am not a knowledgable birder, but I do like to see them.

    Butterflies

by grets Written Dec 18, 2004

    3 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: One of my favourite aspect of a trip, is the flora and fauna of the destiantion. It doesn't have to be large mammals either, I was rather taken with these little butterflies which had settled on the ground.

    tsavo's landscape

Favorite thing: Tsavo National Park is two separate parks: Tsavo East and West. It is also the largest National Park in Kenya with a surface of 21,000 square km. Tsavo East - the one I visited - is savannah grassland with thorny bushes and some marshland near the Voi River. This sparse low vegetation is ideal for spotting animals of all sorts.

Fondest memory: Obviously the large variety of animals: those I saw were lions and lionesses, warthogs, different types of gazelles, kudus, dik-diks, zebras, elephants, babboons, giraffes, ipus, eagles, and mayn more

Favorite thing: Around the hotel grounds were a variety of colourful flowers, such as these striking bougainvilea. They grow to enormous propertions here in the tropics, covering vast expanses of walls.
