Very well known in Kenya..
They serve a wide range of wild game like wildebeest, gazelle, giraffe, zebra, and even crocodile.
This place is always packed with guests. There are a lot of pet cats roaming about, quite unusual for a restaurant !
The decor is very nice, and the smells whet your appetite. They have several dance floors here, playing a variety of themes.
The waiters come over to your table with sizzling meat on long skewers & carve whatever you wish in front of you. The plates you are served are kept warm too.
In the open kitchen areas you can see the various game grilled over a huge charcoal fire.
Favorite Dish: Wildebeest... tastes nothing like beef... it was very succulent.
BUT my favourite was crocodile, perhaps more so as I'd never had it before & the texture was very nice. They use the tail muscles for this.

Well if you like meat this is the place to be. It's an all you can eat kind of place but the food comes to you. They finally stop coming only when you put your flag down.
Favorite Dish: The best or funnest part was the local drink called a Dawa which means medicine. It's lot's of ice with a big dollop of honey, as many limes as you can fit in your glass and fill the rest of the space with vodka. Squish the limes and drink up. They were right, a spoonful of honey does make the medicine go down:)

based on a Brazialian theme, menu features many types of wild game, as well as beef, chicken, lamb, English sausages. Basically all-you-can eat for a fixed price. Try the impala, eland and crocodile. Don't miss the "dawa"--Swahili for medicine. Stolen from the national drink in Brazil--cane spirits, crushed limed and cane syrup. Goes down like ambrosia, but more than three will kick your butt!

The Hotel is Beautiful. They have seven (I think) restaurants on site. I ate at the African Restaurant. They have a 5 course meal for 1500 shillings. The main course is Nyama Choma, which is basically grilled meat. the concept is a bit like a Brazillian Steak House. Waiters come round with unlimited skewers of meat. They had sausages, pork, beef, lamb, crocodile, alligator, chicken... etc.
Whilst you are eating they have a musical theatrical show going called the Safari Cats.
After the show they have a band playing and they take requests. Whilst I was there all the diners got up and did a dancing chain around the restaurant..
Favorite Dish: I loved all the meat. I had to be rolled out of there!!!

This has to be the worst Thai food I've ever eaten! I really wanted to have some after a while in Africa. I was very hungry too and usually anything can be delicious when you're hungry but it was not at all. I heard it has a good reputation so I was really disappointed.
Favorite Dish: Nothing

The food was excellent with a wide choice of local and internation menu. Very friendly and attentive staff too.
Favorite Dish: We ate Chateaubriand, which is one of our favourite meals the first night we stayed here. It was absolutely excellent, so when we returned to the same hotel again after the safari, we decided to have it again.
They brought a little trolley to our table, and the slab of meat is cooked in front of your eyes, then flameéd at the table. The trolley had collapsible leaves at the sides, upon which the steak was placed once it was cooked and the chef was finishing off the acompanying sauce. Unfortunately, the leaf did collapse, sending the precious meat to the floor. The cheaf was terribly embarrassed and apologetic. Sorry, sorry. Sorry, sorry. Sorry, sorry. We both had a hard time keeping a straight face.
Later, a waiter brought us a new piece of meat, which had been cooked in the safety of the kitchen. Unfortunately, the polished wooden floor was still covered in grease from the first accident. Yes, you guessed it! The waiter went flying, and the steak ended up on the floor! This time we were unable to contain our mirth!
A very memorable meal indeed.

A great culinary experience, especially for meat lovers, is the world-famous Carnivore restaurant in the suburb of Nairobi (close to the domestic airport; cca. 20 USD by taxi from/to downtown).
For a fixed menu price (25 USD pp) you get a daily soup, unlimited amount of barbecue meat ("classic" and game like antelope, crocodile, ostrich, zebra, maybe even giraffe or camel) and some dessert.
It's really worth trying.
Favorite Dish: Everything! :-)

Everybody is talking about it as if this is heaven, but it is not. let me start, once seated and starting they come to the table with a lot of meat, but not the game meat. They start with a lot of chicken, pig, lamb and other normal meats. Then, when the filled your plate the come with some game meat, but not much. After this they do not come to your table untill you ask and then they are not acting happy. Second of all the meat was not that tasty and the crocodile was just awful.
If you want real tasty game meat: Try the Three 10 Parkway restaurant in Victoria Falls.
Favorite Dish: ostrich was the only game meat I recommend here, AVOID the crocodile.

You may have all kinds of meat on Barbecue including crocodile, zebra.......
A garden restaurant, open air disco, live music.
Must see.
They serve you as much you like. There is a flag on each table. As long you keep the flag vertical, they serve you.
Favorite Dish: Try crocodile.
