Jomo Kenyatta Conference Center

As the name hintsd, this is mostly a conference and convention center (you will also see it as the motive of a 100 KSh bill) but the top floor has a platform where you have a good view of downtown Nairobi. The centre is also surrounded by a small park with fountains etc so might be a good place for a short break from the hustle and bustle of the city center.

Kenyatta Avenue

Always I try to see the local spirit by venturing into the financial and commercial districts. Towering skyscrapers nd well-heeled locals abound in & around Kenyatta Avenue, definitely worth a stroll instead of the masai market!
Additionally the shops and restaurants off kenyatta along banda & Wabera Streets are good distractions..see photos

Parliament House

In december 1963 Jomo Kenyatta led the movement to Kenyan freedom ignited by the Mau Mau crisis. He died in 1978 but His legacy lives on in the name of his nation. The jomo Kenyatta mausoleum is right next to the Parliament grounds.

KCC

At the center of the administration enclave and near downtown is the landmark KCC bearing the name of the country and its founder, Jomo Kenyatta. Security is high around here but visits can be oragnised check locally during your visit.
