Kitengela glass factory is just outside Nairobi off the road towards Magadi. While you can buy the products in a number of Nairobi malls, it is worth visiting the factory to watch the "making of..." or buy some of their discounted products. Most of all, it´s worth visiting the place to see the sculptures and art made of recycled glass (if you want, you can also cross a gorge via a suspension bridge). If you buy glass, make sure to hold it tightly on the way back: The road is VERY bumpy.

It's where the real nairobi is not the hiltons and intercons. Try any bar there juat dont wear shorts and ignore the prostitutes {or not if you have adeath wish} Also for a good pub outside town try Kengeles in Westlands. Good music good beer good service
