 "NOTHING LIKE FRESH!" by safardreams
I come back. These guys are talking to some
natives with chickens. I had no idea what was goin on. They were talking SWAHILI.
As it turns, they bought a fresh chicken.
They took care of it out of my sight. John, my
driver for this safari. Suggested I take some
pics ! Here they are!

area. We did find ELEPHANT DUNG! So, I

Kenyan's have a fun way of celebrating Birthdays.
At your request, they will pre-make a cake which will be delivered at your table at the end of the meal.
The birthday affair consists of all employees lining up single file, going from table to table, showing your name to the other guests, each in turn, gradually joining in on the festivities and singing the Kenyan version of happy birthday:
"Jambo Jambo - Hakuna Matata...Jambo Jambo - Hakuna Matata"
Cooks, waiters, restaurant managers, etc. all join in dancing around the dining room, beating on pots, pans, glasses and anything else that will make noise before finally arriving at your table with a cake complete with sparkler!
Great fun and makes for some wonderful picture oppourtunities. The party culminates in the english version of "Happy Birthday" with everyone in the restaurant joining in. Leave a Comment

At least once a week guests are treated to a traditional African feast that is accompanied by Masai tribal dancing. At this special event, guest tables overlook the waterhole where the big game gathers.
TIP: watch your table while walking to the buffet. The baboons are quite frank and always hungry ...
