    As you drive on the road from Lodwar to Kalokol (and Lake Turkana) stop to see the Kalokol Pillar Site (Namoratunga II), where a small group of smooth cylindrical stones stand near the road.

    I don't think anyone knows who made these stones, or why they were put here, or how old they are. They stand here in the middle of nowhere, and you scratch your head and wonder.

    Our driver said these stones had been wicked people who were turned to stone on their way to Mecca.
