It`s not very safe to travel from Nairobi to Loki, so everyone who can affort it takes the plane. If you have to go to south sudan from Loki, there is no other way than taking a plane. Most of the NGO`s working there are running a own plane. This was making Loki for some time to the bussyest airport in Africa.

Favorite thing: well -not to much reasons to go there, beside you are working for an NGO. Almost each NGO has his own compound, and the bigger once are protected with guards and barb - wire. Most of the streets outside Loki are consideret as unsafe, so your live will be rather limited. - but still - for reasons I dont know - people are coming to do a kind of tourism and are visiting the different NGO`s

Fondest memory: Not much i miss beside my great Kenyan collegues. Your wake up cal is usualy at four in the morning, when the small mosque is doing the morning prayer with an terrible volume, and soon later, when the first C 130 Hercules of the UN are starting for thier foot-drop missions to south sudan.
