Don't get us wrong, we loved our time in Kenya, but after having traveled so many places independently, it was very difficult to be on a tour with no independence. For example, when we got to Narok, our guide said he knew a nice place for a picnic, it turned out to be a souvenir stand with some rotting benches. "Eat your lunch here, and we will be back in fifteen minutes, we need to make a call." An hour later, they finally return, no commission from any of us, we bought nothing.
