Favorite thing: Benghazi's Medina or Old City isn't as extensive or as well-preserved as Tripoli's, but it is an interesting area to wander around. There is an ongoing Medina renovation project, which will make it more attractive for visitors in the future.

Favorite thing: Sharia al-Corniche overlooks Benghazi Harbour. On the landward side are some of the city's grandest buildings, including the Former Cathedral and Garyounis University. Although the road itself is quite busy, there is a very broad pavement for promenaders.

Favorite thing: Sharia Omar al-Mukhtar is the main street running from south-west to north-east through the heart of the city. At the top end it becomes an elegant pedestrian precinct leading to Freedom Square. It is lined on both sides with porticos. This is my favourite area in Benghazi.

Favorite thing: Souq al-Jareed is the main souq in the centre of Benghazi. It runs for about a kilometre along one alleyway from Freedom Square in the south-west until it merges into Al-Funduq market in the north-east. There is a small open area in the middle. The shops in this covered market sell gold jewellery, perfume, clothes and watches, while, sitting on the ground, there are old ladies selling herbs, spices and traditional medicines.

Favorite thing: Freedom Square is not only the most attractive square in Benghazi, it is the nicest town square in Libya. Along the western side it is flanked by the Old Town Hall, built by the Italians while on the northern side is the Atiq Mosque. Along the eastern side is a more modern building above a covered walkway which leads from Sharia Omar al-Mukhtar to Souq al-Jareed.

King Idris, Mussolini and Field Marshal Rommel all addressed crowds in this square.

Favorite thing: This is what we usually say to our visitor afterhis arrival. If you came via the airport,You could take a taxi to the city which is less than 20 km. for only 1o dinars.. It's arranged by one person .. every taxi has its turn and you don't find any taxi driver calling for his tax...Remember that..
You could if you have time wait for the bus .. It's just for one dinar .. I don't know

Favorite thing: The sea , the tourist village or any other sea resort is the most active thing people prefer to do in this coastal city in the summer seasons. However there are lots of sport activities that may be achieved during that hot and beloved summer . People enjoy biking , swimming , football playing . Moreover they do a nice compitation for building the most beatiful sea houses , which are usually made of wood or any palm materials such as tineas . In the hot summer nights people prefer to enjoy grilling and walking along the beaches.
In the other seasons , for example , the winter is not cold any more ... starting from january .....
