Favorite thing: A must for any traveller to Sabratah is the row of toilet seats packed neatly and cozyly close to each other. This was my first genuine, solid marble toilet seat and moreover the proximity to the next one in line was bewildering. It is not abunduntly clear that there were any walls in-between. The ancients must have had their "small talk" over a bouquet of fragrances difficult to be ignored. How inspiring!
Fondest memory: My fondest memory of Sabratah is the scene of young Lybians buzzing up and down the ancient structure in preparation for a concert. it is quite astonishing considering the relative remoteness of the ruins. Glad to see that they are put to good use thousands of years after their conception.
