Thankfully we decided not to eat in the hotel, but walked just a couple of doors away to this restaurant.
It was reasonably pleasant, with the usual tourist menu of Libyan soup followed by a skinny chicken, served with rice and chips. Very mediocre.
We did get a couple of free drinks (fruit juice - Libya is a dry country).

It's 200 km from Benghazi east, more than 800 m above the sea level. It's a new city in accordance with the other Libyan cities.
