In Tana, it is possible to eat Malagasy, Chinese, Indian, Italian, American, French cuisines.
In Antsirabe, mostly Malagasy, French, Chinese and Indian. Food products are of best quality since Antsirabe uses to be an area where to breed and cultivate.. Foie gras, crayfish, meat of all kinds... Good culinary trip in this region.

This is best place for Malagasy food. Mariette Andrianjaka ("Madame Mariette" for Malagasy) had this great idea of running a restaurant dedicated to Malagasy cuisine when most of quality-food restaurants were of French style (Madagascar was an ex- French colony). Up to now, this is the place to go for Top- quality Malagasy cuisine.
When she opened this "table d'hôtes" decades ago, Malagasy cuisine hadn't had any "VRP" as the only quality restaurants were of French-style cuisine.
Of course, pricing is not the same as those "hotely gasy". Most expensive pricing as for Malagasy restaurant.
Reservations necessary.
I rated it as most expensive in Malagsy cuisine compared to other Malagasy cuisine restaurants.
Favorite Dish: Try romazava, ravitoto, varanga.. koba
